7 TeamSnap alternatives to compare before you switch
Start with the jobs your current setup handles. A club that collects fees and manages a website has different needs from a coach who wants a schedule and team chat. Replacing the app on a phone may leave the club’s other work untouched.
This guide separates four organization options from three team tools. The names are alphabetical within each group, not ranked. Use the free switch worksheet to compare plans, costs and records before you cancel anything.
Secondslide publishes this guide. We read the vendors’ own help and pricing pages on September 11, 2026. We did not try the apps or move club records between them. The features below come from those pages. Test the jobs your club needs before choosing a plan.
Check what you have with TeamSnap first
Write down the exact product, plan and contract. TeamSnap lists custom pricing for clubs and leagues. Its team pricing also uses different plan and upgrade wording, so check which product your account uses before comparing a quote. TeamSnap pricing
Ask the account owner when the plan renews, which records you can download and who controls the website. An export is a file of records you can take out of the system. A change of volunteer should not force a software move just because no one knows the login owner.
Organization options for registration and club work

| Option | Jobs the plan covers | Costs to check |
|---|---|---|
| Jersey Watch | Site, registration, payments and communication | Annual billing and transaction fees |
| LeagueApps | Registration, payments, schedules and reporting | Payment percentage, one-time setup and add-ons |
| SportsEngine HQ | Paid packages with registration, payments and site | Exact package and written quote |
| TeamLinkt | Core registration, rosters, schedules and site | Processing fees and paid add-ons |
1. Jersey Watch
Jersey Watch lists a website, online registration and payments, communication, schedules and standings. Its pricing page describes an initial launch month followed by annual billing, plus a fee per payment. Read the annual total as well as any monthly equivalent. Jersey Watch pricing
Jersey Watch offers help moving website content. If you also need family accounts, consent records or unpaid balances moved, ask about each one. Website help does not mean those records move too.
Before you decide, give the vendor a sample of each record with personal details removed. Ask what it can load from the file, what staff must enter by hand and who pays.
2. LeagueApps
LeagueApps charges a share of each payment for its core plan, with no core subscription fee. There is also a one-time setup fee. Ask for both amounts in your quote. Costs depend on your club and extras, such as a website or team apps.
Its pricing page lists signups and payments, plus messages, schedules and reports. LeagueApps pricing
Use the same expected payment total when you compare it with a plan that charges a set fee. Ask which fees the club pays, which families pay and what happens on a refund. A percentage without the other terms is not a full season budget.
Have the vendor mark each required job against the quoted package. Do not assume the website or team app is included just because it appears elsewhere on the vendor’s site.
3. SportsEngine HQ
SportsEngine lists these jobs across its paid packages: signups, bills and payments, and money reports. The packages also include messages, a team app, schedules and a website that works on phones. Check the exact package for any other tools you need. SportsEngine HQ package comparison
Get a current quote for the exact package and any extra tools your club needs. This review did not verify a current dollar price. An old pricing sheet is not enough to set next season’s budget.
Ask the receiving team to walk through a sample registration record and the reports your treasurer uses. Check whether a report’s totals and fields meet your needs before promising a complete switch.
4. TeamLinkt
TeamLinkt Core has no subscription charge. It covers signups, schedules, team lists, a website and messages. Ask for a quote for fees on payments.
Operations and Revenue are paid yearly add-ons. They provide further tools for events and raising money. TeamLinkt pricing
Compare the features your club will use. Put any needed add-on beside Core in the budget. A free core subscription does not mean every feature or payment is free.
Ask whether the quoted setup covers one team or the full organization. Check who controls signup settings, bank details and staff access when volunteers change.
Team tools for a narrower set of jobs
These tools may suit a team that mainly needs messages, events and attendance. The listed team features do not prove they can replace the club’s signup and money system.
5. GameChanger
GameChanger lists free team messaging, schedules and RSVP features for parents and fans, along with free coach and staff features for their own team. Some fan viewing features are paid. GameChanger team management
List which jobs need to stay with another system, such as registration or club accounting. Then check whether adults are willing to keep both tools. For a fuller comparison of family message workflows, use the team communication apps guide.
6. Heja
Heja’s free plan lists messages, schedules, RSVP and documents with one admin and ads. Pro adds features such as desktop access, more admins and notices when an RSVP changes. Pro Max removes ads for all team members. Heja plans
Check whether your coach and manager both need admin access. Get the plan term and full cost in writing. Payment tracking on a feature list does not by itself mean the app collects online payments.
7. Spond App
Spond App lists group events, invites, guardians and messages. Its message guide sets a 100-person chat limit and says a chat cannot be started across different groups. Spond Club is a separate product and is outside this team-app comparison. Spond team features, Spond message guide
Map the groups your team would need. If one message must reach several groups, test the exact workflow with made-up accounts before choosing it. Confirm payment fees separately from the app’s free features.
Compare the work as well as the price
Choose two candidates that cover the required jobs. Ask each vendor the same questions and use the same season, team count and payment volume. Include setup, training, payment fees, add-ons and any time when both systems must stay active.
Ask for a sample export before giving notice to leave. Check how family links, consent, unpaid balances and old records will be handled. Keep the records your club still needs. Ask the person in charge who will keep them, for how long, and who may see them.
A useful test ends with a written result: what worked, what failed and who must answer the open question. Avoid a score based only on how a demo looks.
Where Secondslide fits
Secondslide publishes this guide and isn’t one of the seven options above. If you’re leaving TeamSnap, we’re one more option to put through the same test. Registration, payments and payment plans run on one connected platform with scheduling, communications, team chat and a parent mobile app. The same partner outfits your teams and runs your team store. Our team can also set up donation fundraising, sponsorships and a program website. Bring your sample export and open questions to a conversation with Secondslide.

2. Compare full costs
Compare the same season length, number of teams and payment volume. Ask for the currency, tax treatment and renewal terms in writing.
Scroll sideways to see all columns.
| Cost or term | Current setup | Candidate |
|---|---|---|
| Subscription and required add-ons | __________ | __________ |
| Payment rate and per-payment fee | __________ | __________ |
| Who pays transaction fees | __________ | __________ |
| Setup, site and training | __________ | __________ |
| Refund and chargeback fees | __________ | __________ |
| Overlap with old system and second tools | __________ | __________ |
| Renewal and cancellation dates | __________ | __________ |
Shared assumptions: teams ______; season length ______; paid volume $______; number of payments ______
Use the same assumptions for both estimates. Add subscription/add-ons, setup/site/training, overlap and second tools, plus quoted transaction, refund and chargeback costs. Count each charge once. Split costs paid by the club from fees paid by families; do not add a passed-through fee to both totals. These totals cover software and its fees, not the underlying team registration charges.

| Estimated season total | Current setup | Candidate |
|---|---|---|
| Club-paid costs | $________ | $________ |
| Family-paid software/payment fees | $________ | $________ |
| Combined club and family cost | $________ | $________ |
Combined cost = club-paid costs + family-paid fees. A lower club total may shift costs to families.

4. Run a small test and decide
With approved adult accounts and made-up players, create a sample team. Add two guardians to one player if your club needs that setup. Change an event time and check both adults’ views. Ask the vendor to show a test-mode payment and refund flow; do not use real money for this worksheet.
